The Lost School Bag Friend

Ravi was a quiet boy who had just joined a new school.

It was his first week, and everything felt strange. New classrooms, new teachers, and new students made him nervous.

During lunch break, Ravi always sat alone under a tree near the playground.

He liked watching other children play cricket and laugh together, but he did not have anyone to talk to yet.

One Monday morning, something unexpected happened.

While Ravi was walking to his classroom, he realized his school bag was missing.

He looked everywhere.

Near the bench.

Near the water tap.

Even near the playground.

But the bag was gone.

Inside the bag were his notebooks, pencil box, and his lunchbox.

Ravi felt worried and close to tears.

“What will I do now?” he thought.

A boy named Aman noticed him looking around.

Aman was in the same class but had never spoken to Ravi before.

“What happened?” Aman asked.

“My school bag is missing,” Ravi replied softly.

Aman looked serious.

“Don’t worry. I will help you find it.”

Aman called two of his friends, and they started searching together.

They checked the classroom.

They checked the corridor.

They even asked the school guard.

After some time, Aman found the bag behind the library wall.

It had fallen down from a bench.

Ravi felt very happy.

“You found it!” he said with relief.

Aman smiled.

“It’s okay. Friends help each other.”

Ravi looked at him.

“We are friends?” he asked.

Aman nodded.

“Yes. From now on.”

That simple moment changed everything for Ravi.

The next day, Aman called Ravi to play cricket during lunch break.

At first, Ravi hesitated.

“I don’t know how to play well,” he said.

Aman laughed.

“It doesn’t matter. We will teach you.”

Ravi joined the game.

He missed many balls in the beginning, but no one laughed at him.

Instead, his classmates encouraged him.

Slowly, Ravi started enjoying the game.

Days passed, and Ravi became more confident.

He began talking more in class.

He also started helping others with homework.

One day, a new student forgot his notebook.

Ravi quickly shared his notes without thinking twice.

Aman smiled when he saw this.

“You have changed,” he said.

Ravi smiled back.

“Because you helped me first.”

Their friendship grew stronger every day.

Soon, they were known as the “helping friends” in the class.

They always supported anyone who needed help.

Even teachers noticed their teamwork.

At the school annual day, Ravi and Aman worked together to decorate the stage.

They did not argue or fight.

They shared responsibilities and finished the work quickly.

The principal praised them.

“Friendship is not just about playing together,” she said.

“It is about helping, caring, and standing together.”

Ravi understood those words very well.

He looked at Aman and smiled.

He knew he had found not just a classmate, but a true friend.
