The Dream Library in the Clouds

Ethan loved reading.

Every evening before bed, he picked one storybook from the small wooden shelf beside his bed.

Some books were about brave explorers.

Some were about friendly animals.

Others told magical fairy tales.

His mother always smiled and said,

"Books help our minds travel to wonderful places."

One quiet night, after reading his favorite story about stars, Ethan turned off his bedside lamp and closed his eyes.

Soon, he was fast asleep.

In his dream, he found himself standing on a soft white cloud.

Ahead of him stood a magnificent building made entirely of shining clouds.

Above its entrance was a golden sign.

The tall doors slowly opened.

Inside were endless shelves filled with glowing books.

Tiny floating lanterns lit every corner with warm golden light.

Everything was peaceful and quiet.

An elderly librarian with silver hair greeted Ethan with a kind smile.

She wore a long blue robe decorated with tiny stars.

"Welcome," she said softly.

"I've been expecting you."

Ethan looked around in amazement.

"So many books!"

The librarian nodded.

"Every book holds a dream waiting to be explored."

She handed Ethan a small golden bookmark.

"It will help you find the story your heart needs tonight."

As Ethan walked through the library, the bookmark began to glow.

It stopped beside a bright green book.

Its cover showed a little bird flying over colorful hills.

When Ethan gently opened the book, a warm breeze surrounded him.

Suddenly, he was no longer inside the library.

He was standing in a beautiful meadow.

Friendly birds flew happily overhead.

Butterflies danced among bright flowers.

A cheerful squirrel invited him to help collect acorns.

Together they laughed, explored the forest, and watched a sparkling waterfall.

Everything felt calm and joyful.

After a while, the breeze returned.

Ethan found himself back inside the Dream Library.

The librarian smiled.

"Would you like another story?"

Ethan nodded excitedly.

This time, the bookmark led him to a blue book with a silver moon on its cover.

When he opened it, he found himself sailing across a quiet lake under a sky full of stars.

The water shimmered like glass.

Friendly fish jumped playfully beside the little boat.

The moon reflected softly on the gentle waves.

Ethan felt peaceful.

When the adventure ended, he returned to the library once again.

"Every dream book teaches something different," the librarian explained.

"Some bring courage."

"Some bring joy."

"Some help us feel calm."

"And some remind us to be kind."

Before Ethan left, the librarian handed him one final gift.

It was a tiny feather-shaped bookmark.

"You won't remember every dream," she said gently.

"But the good feelings will stay with you."

The library doors slowly opened.

Soft clouds swirled around Ethan.

Everything faded into morning sunshine.

Ethan opened his eyes.

His storybook was still resting beside his pillow.

Tucked between its pages was something unusual.

A tiny white feather.

He smiled.
